Mullen Hall School
September 26, 2025
Dear Mullen-Hall Families,
We held our first whole school community meeting on Tuesday.
Third graders helped with the reading of the book, “Fail-A-Bration” by Brad Montague and Kristi Montague. A Fail-a-bration is a party to celebrate failures, finding joy in trying and learning, even if you don't succeed, and that failing means you tried and learned. Failing doesn’t have to be bad! It’s just part of the process of learning to do something better.
Picture Day was Monday 9/22, if your child was absent he/she will have a chance to be photographed during our Re-Take day on November 3rd. We have changed the Re-Take date (originally 10/30) to allow time for all class photos to be taken in addition to any individual photos needed. The ordering portal should be up and running now, although the photo proofs may not be available for a few more days. If you still need to create your JostensPix account, visit SHOP JOSTENSPIX The event code for Mullen Hall is: FE158125

Bus Evacuation Drills
Our students participated in Bus Evacuation Drills this week. These important safety procedures are practiced and reinforced in partnership with the Lucini Bus Company. These drills ensure that in the event of an emergency, our students know exactly what to do to leave the bus safely. Our Clippers are expected to listen to the bus driver, leave their belongings on the bus, and focus on moving safely off of the bus. Thank you for your support!
Message from our Adjustment Counselors:
The Mullen Hall counselors will be starting more sessions with our amazing therapy dogs from a few local organizations. Like last year, the dogs will be coming weekly to school to spend some time with students. We will take turns having different students and classes visit with the dogs, read to them, pet and learn about them, chat with their owners, care for them, and sometimes even feed them treats. Please let us know if you do NOT want your child to participate in this, if there is an allergy concern, or if you have any questions at all.
Thank you!
Wendy Risko, Sam Mueller, and Renee Martin
