Mullen Hall School

October 25, 2024

Dear Mullen-Hall Families,

Another wonderful busy week with amazing weather! Thank you to our PTO for another wonderful event. The Spooktacular was enjoyed by many families!

On October 31st, we will continue the tradition of our Halloween Parade. We will walk down Main Street, cross the street to the Town Hall parking lot and then walk back to school. This is the only celebration of the day. Upon return to school the fourth grade will perform their “GhostBuster Dance” in the bus loop. Students will remove their costumes and begin their day.

Please know if your student does not celebrate this day there will be an alternative to this activity. Let your teacher know if you will not be participating in the parade.

Our free  monthly frozen ice treats are back ! It will be on October 31 and continue monthly.

If you do not want your child to participate please reachout to your classroom teacher.

The Mullen-Hall Fun Run is around the corner, and this will be our biggest fundraiser of the year!   So far 26% of students have registered for this big event.  We are also 14% to our goal of $12,00 raised.

Your child should have received a lanyard to make registering easy. If 65% of the school registers, there will be a school-wide pajama day! Once registered you can start receiving pledges.  Social media, text and email are the best way to spread the word for the Fun Run.  The Fun Run will occur on Thursday November 14th. For more info or to register, visit mybooster.com.

Please join us at our next meeting on Monday December 2nd. Meetings take place in the Mullen-Hall Library at 6pm.  Come to hear the principal’s report, learn about upcoming events and provide your input and ideas for the upcoming year! Please email [email protected] anytime with any questions or comments.

MV Banking Information:

Today was our last day of banking for October and the totals are in: Mullen-Hall student bankers saved over $1600 just in the first month of banking! That’s incredible, congratulations to all of our savers!

We also talked to our bankers about where their money is going each week so that they know more about Martha’s Vineyard Bank in case they want to make extra deposits or make a withdrawal.

This week's raffle winner is 4th grader Maren H. who won a set of colored pencils.

For the next few weeks we will raffle off some more piggy banks so that our savers have somewhere at home to collect their money during the week.

There are still two more weeks to participate in the National raffle for a $25 Amazon gift card. Student bankers are automatically entered when they deposit their money on Fridays. 8 winners will be chosen nationally.

See you on November 1st!
